Bohs Claim First Points And Goals
Bohemians 4
Waterford United 2
Bohs slight improvement continued this week when they finally broke
their scoring duck for the 2006 season. However, it was Waterford that
took the lead, after just 2 minutes, while Bohs defence watched
haplessly. Tony Grant equalised on 14 minutes before some atrocious
defending allowed the visitors to take the lead again after 39 minutes.
Gaffer put the penalty away, after a deliberate handball denied Stephen
Ward, for Bohs to take draw at half-time.
Waterford were very poor
in the second half and looked very tired at times, allowing Bohs a
slight edge, which saw Kevin Hunt and Tony Grant seal the win and give
the Gypsies their first win of the season. While Bohs didn't look as bad
as recent games, Waterford were very poor. Bohs' central defence looks
very shaky, and the sooner Aidan Collins returns the better. On a more
positive note, Stephen Ward again caught the eye, in a forward role, and
he was involved in everything positive and attacking, from the home
side.
