Worst Start Since Joe McGrath
Cork City 1 (O'Flynn 65)
Bohemians 0
Bohs were improved in some areas, for their third successive one-nil
defeat in a row. With Gareth Farrelly away on family business, Gary
Howlett picked the team. Wardy finally started up front and made a big
difference, with Bohs actually managing a few shots. Thomas Heary
returned as right-back, and added something to the defence. Fergal
Harkin played on the left wing, and was a constant threat against an
out-of-sorts Cork.
However, though there was
some improvement, it was genuinely going to be difficult to get any
worse. Conor Powell simply MUST replace Des Byrne. Aidan Collins simply
MUST replace Jason McGuinness. Mark Duggan should also be given a start.
Bohs have now lost 13 of
their last 19 league games and have yet to score a goal this season, in
what is their worst start since Joe McGrath's brief tenure in 1999.
