Shelbourne 2

Bohemians 1

Effeminate referee Alan Kelly again caused controversy by awarding a free-kick to Shels, instead of the definite penalty to Bohs, which would have put the visitors 2-0 ahead. The controversial referee, who was banned for a month earlier this season when he suspiciously cheated Bohs of a perfectly good goal against Bray, as well as a host of other suspicious decisions, has brought been the figurehead of bad refereeing this season, which have brought the League into disrepute on many occasions. Lucky for him his Da is the refereeing inspector. TheBohs.com once again calls for an independent Garda inquiry into refereeing in Ireland.

A win however would have flattered the worst Bohs team in the history of the club. Hopefully the arrival of fifth-choice manager Sean Connor and the rumoured massive increase in budget can leapfrog Bohemian FC to Setanta Cup qualification next season. This squad needs wholesale replacement though, as only one or two players are good enough to don the new red and black strip in 2007.

Shelbourne: Williams, Heary, Dillon, Hawkins, Rogers, Ryan (Baker 83), S Byrne, Ndo (O'Halloran 46), Cahill, J Byrne (Harris 57), Crowe.
Bohemians: O'Brien, Rice, Ferguson, Caffrey, Powell, O'Reilly, Heary (Mooney 85), Hunt (Duggan 69), Kelly (Brady 90), McGuinness, Dunphy.
