Farrelly Keeps Fans Out
Bohemians 0 Kildare County 0
Gareth Farrelly ordered this friendly to be kept top secret so that as few of his 'fans' as possible would show up. In a dour game, perennial 'hard man' and stereotypical thick footballer, Thomas Heary, was sent off for head-butting an opponent, receiving a suspension which could be carried into the league. This game probably provided almost conclusive evidence that Farrelly could hold his own as a manager in the First Division if he had a squad costing over €1,100,000. Highlight of the day was the Bohs' board demanding the removal of 'Farrelly OUT!' flags. Who do you think you are?
