Brutal Bohs Bomb
Bohemians 0
Drogheda
United 1 (Keegan 52)
Absolutely f***ing brutal performance. You would have to wonder where
the money is going. Not a single shot on target from Bohs, at home, in
front of a large crowd, most of whom probably won't come back. The
positivity of the home crowd was subdued by some of the worst football
seen at Dalymount for years. Gaffer's tactics were suspect, to say the
least, playing the in-form Stephen Ward out of position, in order to
accommodate his favourite forwards. Later in the game, he substituted
Joxer Kelly, when most of the people in the ground would have taken
Gaffer himself off.
It is difficult to take any positives
from this game; Bohs were very poor in all departments, and in all areas
of the pitch. The pathetic pre-season AGAIN hasn't helped, with Bohs set
pieces especially indicative, with most of them not even beating the
first defender.
Powell, Collins, O'Reilly,
Duggan, Harkin and O'Keeffe should all start next Saturday.
Full report to follow.
